During the General Meeting of the 2023 Spring Regular Session of the Assembly, Y. Sodbaatar, the head of the Office of the President of Mongolia, discussed the veto of the President of Mongolia on the amendments to the Law on Protection of Human Rights in Social Networks and the accompanying Law on Communications, Amendments to the Law on Cyber Security, Amendments to the Law on Protection of Personal Information, and Laws on Amendments to the General Tax Law.

In accordance to Article 88 of the Law on the Regulation of Sessions of the Parliament of Mongolia, the Standing Committee on Security and Foreign Policy discussed the veto of the President of Mongolia at its meeting on March 16, 2023, and supported the acceptance of the veto of the President of Mongolia by a majority vote of 81.8 percent of the members who attended the meeting. In addition, the Standing Committee on Justice discussed the veto of the President of Mongolia at its meeting on March 15, and clarified that the members who participated in the meeting thought it appropriate to accept the veto of the President of Mongolia by 100% vote.

At the General Meeting of the State Assembly, the resolution of the State Assembly was approved as 89.1 percent of the members who participated in the meeting voted to support the proposal of the Standing Committees that it is appropriate to accept the veto of the President of Mongolia.
